Feathers
Today we’ve been creating feathers for our Korowai that we are trying to create. I’ve really liked how we’re making a Korowai for our class. We did this last year but we used crayons and dye.. Looking at it now, the colors look dull and faded. Using pastels really brings out the warm bright colors and the cold bold colors. I don’t know if we’re doing this every year but it’s a very creative thing to do with all the kids participating. Bye.

Kiwiana Christmas Art Comp
Last week in Te Ngahere we made a four framed Kiwiana Christmas picture to show what we do on Christmas or what reminds us about Christmas. If you win the competition you will get to watch the new movie called Kiwi Christmas in your own class.

Matariki
On Thursday last week we were celebrating Matariki. On that day we had lots of activities and fun things to do. In the morning we had a breakfast with eggs, bacon, spaghetti and toast also. The people who were cooking were Ezra, Noah, Alexsi, Ocean, Aaliyah, Thomas and I. Then when the bell rang we did our art. At lunchtime we had a shared lunch where all the kids brought food for the whole school to eat together on Matariki. We also did some planting for our bird corridor. I had lots of fun doing the activities and other stuff too.

Fidget Spinner
A couple of weeks ago we were doing our fidget spinner art on a A3 paper. We were learning to use space crayon and dye to make our fidget spinner art. Next we had to write a persuasive story about should we have fidget spinners in class or at school. When we wrote our stories I was learning to use the structure correctly and colons.
