Kaikohekohe Cultural Festival

Yesterday we went to the Kaikohe Cultural Festival. I enjoyed performing to other people around Northland. It was nerve racking before going onstage. After the festival we watched the live stream of the other groups. I hope to perform more to build my confidence when I perform in the future. The things I need to work on is my facials and the volume of my voice when I haka or sing. Thank you for viewing my post. See ya.

About me

Hello, I’m Izaiah. I am a year 8 student who attends Paihia Primary School. I am part Maori, part Samoan and lives in a house of four which includes my oldest sister, Grandpa, Grandma and myself.

To be honest I don’t necessarily like any subjects but I have to do each of them to get a good education and achieve the goals I’m aiming for. Although, I do enjoy math and writing only because I’m fairly decent at both of those subjects. I’m challenged by the writing subject, only because It’s hard for me to find different varieties of vocabulary and language features to make my writing interesting.

This year I’m looking forward to learning more advanced strategies for both math and writing. My life goal/dream is to be able to craft weapons, mainly guns. I first thought of this goal when I started to watch weapon review videos. I was just interested in the way weapons work and the history of each weapon. My inspirations are my mother and my grandmother. I’m very inspired by the way they can stand there ground and have enough courage to do things many others can’t.
