My Learning

For Student Led Conferences on Wednesday we had to create a google drawing. The google drawing we all created in Te Ngahere was for us to explain what we were learning. In my google drawing I was learning to use a variety of punctuation in my writing. We had to link our work to the writing, reading or maths. The links link to the evidence of what we were learning and achieved.

Virtual Holiday

When Mr Lindsay came to school today we had to do an activity about travelling. The activity was that we had to open up a map and mark all the places that Mr and Mrs Lindsay went around in the world and we had to put lines connecting to where they both went. Here is my one that is presented in a google drawing.

Matariki

On Thursday last week we were celebrating Matariki. On that day we had lots of activities and fun things to do. In the morning we had a breakfast with eggs, bacon, spaghetti and toast also. The people who were cooking were Ezra, Noah, Alexsi, Ocean, Aaliyah, Thomas and I. Then when the bell rang we did our art. At lunchtime we had a shared lunch where all the kids brought food for the whole school to eat together on Matariki. We also did some planting for our bird corridor. I had lots of fun doing the activities and other stuff too.

Treaty Grounds

Last week on Tuesday the whole of Paihia School visited the Treaty Grounds at different times. The junior went in the morning to the Treaty Grounds and the seniors left at midday. When we arrived at the Treaty Grounds we walked up a big hill and rested by a white tent near the Busby house. Then we all split into groups and did some activities. The first activity we did was when we had to get Nikau leaves and weave them to make a kite to fly. Then we moved on to the other activity when we had to make a big circle and people were blind folded. When that happened they had to shake the paua with pearls in them and they had to try and tag each other. Then the last game we played was called Maui (left) and Matou (Right.) There were two ropes next to each other and when the lady called the directions we had to either jump to the right or jump to the left but when the lady shouted Ki Waenganui (middle) we had to jump in the middle of both of the ropes. Then the last thing we did was planting and Noah and I planted a tree in the ground. I had fun doing things at the Treaty Grounds.
